Nude Beyonce photo scam goes viral

Hot-blooded men surfing the Net would be wise to steer clear of a supposed Flickr account featuring nude photos of singer Beyonce Knowles.

Clicking on the supposed account, whose photo ranks high on search engine Google, may lead victims ultimately to a site serving malware, security vendor GFI Labs said.

"There wasn’t a Miley sex tape last time around, and there isn’t any Beyonce nude video here either. Just because a link is riding high in a legitimate search engine doesn’t mean it will serve up anything good, and end-users should be cautious when presented with fake video player graphics on Flickr profiles – the same tactic has been used for years to send the unwary to Malware drive-by attacks and related nasties," it said in a blog post.

It said the link leading to a malware site manifested itself as a stray Flickr profile.

The stray profile has a fake video graphic which, when clicked on, will redirect the user to "Fashion Tube."

"Here, you get a large still shot of a naked lady in a shower and the message that you can only play the 'video' if you install 'UT Player,'” GFI said.

But as in the past, clicking on the image of the video player exposes the user to the risk of a malware drive-by attack. — TJD, GMA News
