Porn clips show up on Twitter's new video-sharing app
Barely has Vine, a new video-sharing app for Twitter, caught on with users when it is being weighed down by pornographic video clips, a tech site reported. A report on CNET said the app for iPhone and iPod Touch may yield "results" when users search with tags such #porn and #sex. However, CNET quoted a Twitter representative as saying the micro-blogging service will remove videos that are reported and found to violate its guidelines. It said the representative also said Vine users can flag videos they find offensive, and videos that accumulate enough complaints may net a Twitter warning at the beginning of the video. "Uploaded videos that are reported and determined to violate our guidelines will be removed from the site, and the user that posted the video may be terminated," the representative added. The CNET report also noted Apple's App Store guidelines are more specific – apps that contain pornographic material "will be rejected." It cited the removal by Apple of a photo-sharing app called 500px, might allow users to search for and find naked bodies. — LBG, GMA News
