Holy Week may mean summer getaways and beach time for many, but it is during this long weekend holiday when Christians commemorate the Passion of Christ.
Palm Sunday, which marks Jesus Christ's return to Jerusalem, opens the Holy Week. On Maundy Thursday, Christ's Last Supper with his apostles is memorialized, and his death and crucifixion is remembered the following day, Good Friday. Holy Week ends with a celebration of Christ's resurrection on Easter Sunday.
This year, YouScoopers around the country again shared images of various Holy Week activities in their area.
