Pinoys poke fun at MRT crash with Spider-Man memes

After initial outrage online about the Metro Rail Transit accident on Tuesday, it didn't take long before Pinoys showed their trademark sense of humor about the mishap.

On Twitter, users poked fan at the mishap, conflating the defective coach that slammed into a steel barrier at Taft Avenue station with a similar scene from the movie "Spider-Man 2."

In the film, Spider-Man, played by Tobey Maguire, successfully stopped a runaway train in New York from falling off a broken platform. Unfortunately for Pinoys, there was no friendly neighborhood superhero to do the same to the MRT train. — JST, GMA News
