'War flag' inadvertently posted in kinder classroom in Taguig

The ongoing battle for proper education just got serious. Or so it seems.
The Philippine flag was inadvertently displayed in "war mode" Tuesday—with the red field to its own left—at a function of the Department of Education in Taguig City.
Posts on the DepEd's Twitter account indicated the event was the turnover of kindergarten classrooms from AGAPP and Aboitiz Foundation:

Section 10 of RA 8491, the "Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines," states:
The Philippine flag is perhaps the most fundamental symbol of the country, and its proper usage—particularly in a place of learning—merits close scrutiny. The flag, if flown from a flagpole, shall have its blue field on top in time of peace and the red field on top in time of war; if in a hanging position, the blue field shall be to the right (left of the observer) in time of peace, and the red field to the right (left of the observer) in time of war.
Speakers at the event included the president's sister, Pinky Aquino, and Aboitiz chairman Erramon Aboitiz.
