Awww, Sherlock the puppy doesn’t work with KLM’s lost-and-found team after all

Sad news for puppy lovers, especially those who adored a puppy named Sherlock, who Dutch airline KLM had promoted on YouTube as part of its lost-and-found team.

A user on community website Reddit discovered this after translating an interview of KLM spokesperson Joost Ruempol on a Dutch website, tech site Mashable reported.

"The dog is purely used to symbolize the active way in which the team will search for owners and unite them with their lost possessions," Mashable cited a translation of Ruempol's interview.

It added ad agency DDB & Tribal Worldwide's representatives, Alex Herwig and Jeroen Thissen told MediaBistro that "Sherlock the dog" was only employed for the purpose of the video.

But a separate article on Gizmodo said Herwig and Thissen suggested Sherlock could be making another appearance soon.
