Aubrey Plaza to voice Grumpy Cat in upcoming movie

Aubrey Plaza, star of "Parks and Recreation," has been tapped to voice Internet star Grumpy Cat in an upcoming Lifetime movie later this year.

 

The film, titled "Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever," promises to be a holiday classic, tech site Mashable reported.

 

It is to premiere on November 29, the report said.

 

"Jane Lynch was reportedly in serious talks to voice Grumpy in the famous feline's film debut but ultimately passed on the role," the tech site said.

 

Mashable said the film tells the story of a young girl who befriends the cat named Tardar Sauce - Grumpy's real name.
