Twitter makes tweeting easier with new 'What's happening?' box
In what could mean more convenience for users of Twitter, the micro-blogging platform has rolled out a new feature for its Web interface.
The feature, found on top of a user's timeline on the Web interface, is similar to the status update box on social networking site Facebook.
"It just got easier to Tweet on http://Twitter.com . You can now compose new Tweets at the top of your home timeline," Twitter said in an announcement Thursday PHL time.
Previously, the box for composing tweets was found on the left side of the screen.
But tech site Mashable noted the new setup looks like that of Facebook.
"If the location looks familiar, that's because it's exactly the same as the location of Facebook's status question at the top of its news feed. Facebook's question: 'What's on your mind?'" it said.
Mashable also said not all users were happy, with one labeling Twitter's claim of easier tweeting "bullshit". — Joel Locsin/ELR, GMA News
