Cebu Santo Niño image baffles owners with ‘growing’ hair

An image of the Santo Niño (Christ Child) is baffling its owners witn its supposedly growing hair.

 

Corazon and Noel Tampus, both devotees of the Santo Niño, said the hair on the image would grow even after they trim it, GMA Cebu's Alan Domingo reported.

 

"Sina-shampoo ko siya, regular ko ring ginugupitan pero hindi siya maubos dahil kung hindi ko siya puputulan hindi siya pantay," said Mrs. Tampus.

 

The couple would spruce the image as the Santo Niño's feast day nears in January.

 

On the other hand, the image has a crown made of gold and diamonds, and a globe made of gold and beads made of diamonds.

 

According to the couple, they spruce the image of the Christ Child every year as a show of thanks for the blessings they receive.

 

They said their business has been doing well, while Mr. Tampos recently underwent major surgery.

 

For now, the couple is asking the Santo Niño to ensure Mr. Tampos' health. — Joel Locsin/VC, GMA News
