Google testing transparent YouTube player

Google is testing a transparent player for its popular YouTube video-sharing site, but users can get a sneak peek at it – with the right code.

But tech site Lifehacker said the upgrade appears mostly "aesthetic," with the controls appearing only when a mouse hovers on it.

Users of Google's Chrome browser may need an extension to edit cookies while Firefox can use the developer console.

A separate article on GHacks.net said the cookie determines whether a user gets the new or old player interface.  — Joel Locsin/LBG, GMA News
