'Ano yung ibinulong ni David Foster?' Gerphil Flores answers questions in #AskAway

Fresh off her successful run in the inaugural season of Asia's Got Talent, classical singer Gerphil Flores answered questions from her fans during this Friday's #AskAway on the Facebook page of GMA News. Check out her answers.



Hanny Maha Rani: I want to ask you some of question 1. Is that too late for a 17 years old to learn classical music 2. How to improve vocal range? Does it require professional help or we can train ourselves? 3. Do you play instrument? 4. If you get to pick an artist from different genre with you to have a collaboration, who will you pick? 5. Do you plan on having your own Youtube channel? 6. I would like to hear the story about your mom! She's such a wonderful woman, always supportives behind her daughter's success. Answer:
1. It is never too late to learn how to sing regardless of what genre you choose.
2. The most important rule for vocal improvement is having a good discipline.
3. I play the piano and I used to play the violin.
4. I would love to collaborate with Josh Groban and Andrea Bocelli!

Answer: Hi Dorys Larete! I play the piano and guitar. I also used to play the violin.

Answer: Hi Alfred! Basically, big words of encouragement yung sinabi niya.

Answer: Hi Billy Torres! YES! I also sing other genres aside from classical/crossover.

Answer: Hi Trisha Malonzo! I am planning on having a "fan day" to meet some of my supporters and have a chance to thank them for their prayers and endless support!  Thank you!

Answer: "Believe in yourself!" and "Always put God first in everything you do for nothing is impossible with Him!"

Answer: Hello po Samuel N Sherine! I was in Singapore po when they invited me to perform in the show. The other 3 Filipino contestants went ahead of me po. Wala po akong sama ng loob sa ABS. In fact, sa Sunday po kakanta ako sa mass nila 6am.

Marvin: Would you consider joining in an orchestra band or a symphonic rock band as a vocalist outside the Philippines? #AskAway

Answer: Hi Marvin! That is a great idea! I would love to, if given a chance!

Karis Revilla: Who's ur favourite classical singer? #AskAway

Answer: I have lots of favourite classical singers. One of them is Andrea Bocelli.

MelVhin Ü Panlilio: How do you find Regine Velasquez (Asia's Songbird) as a singer? Both a pride of Asia. #AskAway

Answer: Hi! She is one of the best singers Asia can offer! :)I love her

Bae Auxell: You have amazing voice and undeniably pretty face. Do you consider getting to showbiz? #AskAway

Answer: Maybe in the future, I can venture into acting as well. Depends on what my fate will be.

Benjax Rivera: This is not a question, but a message. I would strongly suggest that you launch your career abroad, and not here. The local entertainment industry is not 'programmed' for classical music. You're genre would take off with a bang if you do it on a global stage. Also, may I suggest you try fusing classical with some other genres. Like opera/rock of the Queen. Maybe classical/rock or classical/pop would be a good mix. Anyways, we are proud of you! Answer: Hello po! Hopefully, magkaroon po na ng sariling record album.

Answer: Hi Brooke Garcia! Right now, I am finishing my school. After school, maybe I can finally have my own album po.

Francis Jude Lee Yeo: D2 tayo ang tanong ko meron ka nga ba talaga sama ng loob sa presidential daughter?

Answer: Hi Francis Jude Lee Yeo! Wag po kayo basta basta maniwala sa mga nababasa sa net. Wala po akong sama ng loob kay Ms. Kris po. In fact, sabi ko nga po sa kanila napakagandang experience po yung Pilipinas Got Talent for me and bilang hurado karapatan nila na magbigay ng sarili nilang opinyon and I respect that!
