Chinese netizens urge 'mango boycott' after PHL wins ruling
Chinese netizens are calling for a "mango boycott" in the microblogging platform Weibo, with users using memes to discourage people from buying Philippine products.
According to a report by Yvette Tan for the BBC, some Weibo users shared slogans like "Starve Filipinos to death" and "If you love China, don't buy Filipino imports."

Shanghai-based vendor on taobao.com said in an interview with Global Times: "Our online shop will not sell Cebu mango from the Philippines and will not sell any snacks imported from the country anymore."
Global Times further reports that a vendor from Guangzhou has put the message "This shop will no longer put dried mango products imported from the Philippines on sale and will give any snacks now in stock to consumers who would like to give their address for free" on the homepage of its online shop.
Chinese state media had earlier released a music video to share similar sour sentiments against the Philippines following the international tribunal's ruling favoring the Philippines' claims.
Chinese citizens, meanwhile, continue to produce memes and circulate them on social media. Tan's report for the BBC includes an image of person with a bowl cut telling others, "Don't be such a Philippines."
In the Philippines, social media users have responded to the ruling with #CHExit and memes about failed romances or #Hugot.
