John Cena cuts a promo for PHL wrestling fans

WWE fans looking forward for the live event on September 9 now have another video to tide them over as they wait for the first WWE event in the Philippines in seven years.

In a short but sweet promo, 15-time world champion John Cena threw shade at 7-foot giant Big Show, his opponent for WWE Live Manila.

"What's John Cena gonna do there? I'll tell you right now- I'm gonna take on the Big Show! Seven-foot-one, 550 pounds, and smells like a pile of hot garbage! He's running his mouth, that he's gonna stomp me into the ground with his size 22 shoes!" Cena bellows in the minute-long video. "I'm gonna take that shoe and put it where it belongs!"

Cena and Big Show, who was recently in Manila to promote the event, will be joined by talents from RAW.

Prominently featured in the trailer, WWE tag team champions New Day will face Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson for their belts — an echo of their scheduled match at SummerSlam on August 21.

Another SummerSlam echo is WWE Women's Champion Sasha Banks defending her belt against her long-time rival Charlotte.

WWE Universal Championship contenders Finn Bálor and Seth Rollins will also be on the card, albeit with different opponents. Bálor takes on Chris Jericho while Rollins battles his ex-Shield partner Roman Reigns.

Jericho's newly-minted partner Kevin Owens, meanwhile, will take on his eternal rival and former tag partner Sami Zayn in another chapter of their fabled rivalry that has millions of fans begging them to #FightForever.

Events on the past few Raw episodes will also be reflected on the card as the Swiss Superman Cesaro takes on the Celtic Warrior Sheamus and the Golden Truth faces The Shining Stars.

Last, but certainly not the least, old rivalries will reignite as ex-NXT champions Neville and Bo Dallas battle with Curtis Axel on the ringside for his #SocialOutcast buddy. —JST, GMA News
