Vlogger polishing incredibly rusty knife goes viral
A Japanese video blogger named Jun Yoshizuki has raked in nearly 4 million views for his upload, "Polishing a Rusty Knife."
In it, Yoshizuki shares that he bought the rusty knife at a "recycle store" for $3 to make the person trying to sell it for 30 cents to the store happy.
The knife, completely covered in rust, was dismissed as garbage by the store. However, with a little elbow grease, Yoshizuki turned it into treasure.
And the process has mesmerized millions.
Is it the cats? Is it watching the dull knife become amazingly shiny? Is it the demonstration of the restored knife's sharpness? All of the above?
Perhaps it's the way the video makes you believe that someday, you could be this knife. Sharp and like new again!
The sharpened knife's ability to cut a leaf floating on water is quite impressive and makes the nearly 4 minutes of your time watching the video definitely worth it. — Aya Tantiangco/BM, GMA News
