According to Google's "Year in Search" data released on Wednesday, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte's State of the Nation Address sits at the top of the trending news items in 2017.
Concern for the conflict in Southern Philippines was also evident as Marawi City, Maute Group, and Martial Law in Mindanao appeared on the list at 2nd, 7th, and 10th place respectively.
The Bird Flu scare (4th) was a concern for most and the story involving the death teenager Kian Delos Santos (5th) stayed in people's minds.
