This cab driver sounds like President Duterte he is now called ‘DU32’

Meet Elcias Bugsad, a cab driver from Davao City who sounds so much like President Duterte— voice cracks, pauses, tone, and all — that he is now called DU32.

On Unang Balita Monday, Bugsad said he’s been mimicking the president since two years ago. “Nakita ko, I make people happy, especially my customers,” he said, of course in his signature Duterte tone.

A cabbie for some 10 years ago, Bugsad has been enjoying his so-called 15 minutes of fame, after a video of him, impersonating the president, was uploaded to social media.

According to Bugsad, he’s first made his family happy with his impersonations before trying his trick on others. “Siyempre bago ko napasaya yung ibang tao, pamilya ko muna. Nung nakita ko na napasaya ko pamilya ko, kaya ko gawin sa ibang tao.”
