In fight against Mocha, Kris Aquino thanks supporters who remember Ninoy, Cory

Actress Kris Aquino on Tuesday night expressed gratitude to the supporters of her parents Ninoy and Cory Aquino following her recent outburst against Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson.

"Thank you to those who believe, thank you to those who still love my mom. Thank you to those who respect what my dad has given our country. It's just a girl, a simple daughter at this point," Kris said in a 17-minute Facebook video.

Kris was touched with how some Filipinos still show their love for her parents. She stressed that she was just a daughter who had enough of criticisms against her loved ones.

"I have been reading the words of support. This is really not about me. This is about the legacy of two people I really love. This is about Ninoy and Cory Aquino and about a woman who never knew them," she added.

"Maraming maraming salamat po kasi hanggang ngayon pinaramdam niyo sa akin na mahal na mahal niyo si Ninoy Aquino at mahal niyo si Cory Aquino. For me that's all that matters," Kris said.

Kris earlier answered Mocha after the latter shared a video comparing Ninoy's actions to that of President Rodrigo Duterte's controversial kiss in South Korea over the weekend.

Kris reiterated her warning against Mocha to stop tirades against her parents, saying that Ninoy and Cory do not deserve her attacks.

"Stop doing this to people who never hurt you. Hindi ka nila binastos. Hindi ka rin binastos ng kapatid ko, buhay siya kaya niyang ipagtanggol ang sarili niya. Pero hindi kaya ng nanay at tatay ko. Ako buhay na buhay, balahura din ako... ganyan ang labanan eh," Kris said.

"Isa pa na bastusin at babuyin mo ang tatay o nanay ko, magtutuos tayo," she added. — BAP, GMA News
