Sleeping sampaguita vendor in viral pic rescued with two other minors in QC

The seven-year-old sampaguita vendor whose picture went viral last year was among those who were rescued by barangay officers on Tuesday night.

According to James Agustin's report on "Unang Balita", the viral photograph showed the child-vendor sleeping on a center island while still clutching the sampaguita garlands she was selling.

The photograph again went viral in the social media this week.

The seven-year old girl was rescued at the corner of Congressional Road and Mindanao Avenue along with two other sampaguita vendors aged 17 and six.

A barangay official said the minors had been rescued no less than ten times before.  —NB, GMA News
