For defeating La Salle, UST treats FEU to a pancit merienda

It looks like the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Golden Tigresses are practicing the saying "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer."

They gifted the Far Eastern University (FEU) Lady Tamaraws with a treat after they defeated DLSU Lady Spikers last Sunday.

The FEU Athletics on Monday tweeted their thanks to the UST for...treating them with a bilao of pancit for merienda!

UST also quoted FEU volleyball's tweet and said "As Jesus Christ once preached... Love Your Neighbors." After all, both schools are in Manila's University Belt.

With FEU's win last Sunday, UST and DLSU both ended the elimination round with a 10-4 record, forcing a virtual best-of-three for the two teams to determine who will enter the UAAP volleyball finals.

UST and DLSU will play for the second twice-to-beat advantage tomorrow, and will face each other again on Sunday for the Final Four match.

The Ateneo Lady Eagles hold the first playoff bonus and will play the FEU Lady Tamaraws on Saturday.
