Grab PH draws flak for 6-seater promotional material

Grab Philippines drew flak on Tuesday afternoon, as netizens expressed their dismay on a promotional material promoting its 6-seater service.

The now-deleted post on its social media platforms showed a photo of six celebrities — Julia Barretto, Maja Salvador, Pia Wurtzbach, Bea Alonzo, Sarah Geronimo, and Kim Chiu.

As a campaign for its 6-seater service, Grab captioned the post with: "Walang kailangang maiwan. Walang kailangang masaktan. Sa GrabCar 6-seater, pwedeng magsabay-sabay."

Just recently, the women trended online after rumors linking Barretto with Gerald Anderson circulated online.

As of posting, the promotional material has already been deleted across the social media platforms of Grab Philippines.

GMA News Online has reached out to the company for comment, but no response has been received as of this posting.

Meanwhile, Grab Philippine acknowledged its mistake with a post. “We apologize for running the light! We were in no way encouraging nor condoning disrespect for women and disrespect within relationships.

“We admire the love and loyalty that fans have for all these wonderful women. Thank you for reminding us what not to be!”
