'That's My Boy' contestant goes viral for saying he wants to defend PHL vs. China

A six-year-old boy on Eat Bulaga's "That's My Boy" contest recently earned praises from netizens after he revealed what he wants to be when he grows up.

In a clip shown on GMA News' Unang Balita on Monday, contestant JD said he wants to be a soldier who will defend the Philippines and defeat China.

"Ano ba'ng gusto mong maging paglaki mo?" the host asked him.

"Sundalo," JD said, smiling.

Asked why, JD replied: "Para hindi nila makuha ang dagat natin."

JD said he learned from TV news that China is getting the Philippines' fish, pawikan, and waters.

"Kinukuha ng China ang mga isda atsaka 'yung mga tubig at pawikan," he explained.

JD said those fish, pawikan and waters are ours.

He added that once he becomes a soldier, he will always be proud of the Philippines. —KG, GMA News
