Heart Evangelista has chill responses to criticism over 'no make up' photo: 'I'm too old to pretend'
Heart Evangelista celebrated the beauty and simplicity of minimal makeup the other day, and got some mixed feedback.
Luckily, the actress and social media influencer is really chill, even when she responds to her toughest critics.
It was December 14 when heart posted this portrait with a caption saying: "No make up, no regrets...Kidding! Of course had my trusty clear mascara to brush my brows up! Thank you (Mac Cosmetics)!"
While many people on IG gushed over her poreless skin and well-done brows, there were still some who pressed that she was wearing a lot of foundation.
Heart replied to one comment, saying: "I don't do foundation (smile emoji)."
A commenter also implied she had some contour and highlighter on, but Heart let her down easy.
"No make up make up probably. I can see the contour and highlights but beautiful either way," the comment said.
"The contour you see is actually my melasma (smile emoji)," Heart replied.
She added: "I only used clear mascara to shape my brows and carmex actually (smile emoji) I’m too old to pretend (smile emoji) filter maybe of my IG helped (smile emoji)."
In spite of the negative comments, Heart did not go as far as arguing with her critics, even when her followers came to her defense.
"I hate that people have to spread hate here. I know you know it but you're beautiful either way, Miss Love Marie!" one comment said.
Heart's only reply was: "Let them, it's fine (smile emoji)."
