Jollibee, McDo shout each other out in thank you to delivery riders

Fast food chains Jollibee and McDonald’s on Saturday acknowledged each other in Food Panda’s social media post, where it thanked food delivery personnel working amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) threat.

“Riders assemble! Maraming maraming salamat sa inyong serbisyo at dedikasyon sa panahong ito,” Food Panda said in a Facebook post accompanied by a photo of a drawing of various food delivery riders.

“Hindi lahat ng superhero lumilipad! Sa aming mga mata, isa kayo sa mga tunay na bayani ng bansang ito,” it added. “Let’s ride it out together. Kaya natin ‘to!”

Jollibee and McDonald’s then shared Food Panda’s post and acknowledged each other’s delivery services.

“Tuloy-tuloy ang serbisyo para sa bawat Pilipino! Thank you to all our Jollibee, McDonald’s, Food Panda, Grab, Angkas and all other riders for your continued hard work, sacrifice and dedication especially during these challenging times. We’re all in this together!,” Jollibee wrote.

On the other hand, McDonald’s said: “Let's show some love to the riders of McDelivery, foodpanda, Grab, Angkas, Jollibee, and all those who continue to deliver! Thank you and please stay safe!
