#ProtectVico lands at the top of global Twitter trends after NBI summons the Pasig Mayor
Vico Sotto obviously has the support of Twitter.
Shortly after news broke that the NBI summoned the young Pasig Mayor for allegedly violating the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act on Wednesday afternoon, the hashtag #ProtectVico quickly flew to the top of of global Twitter trends with over 15K tweets as of writing.
Apart from expressing support for the young Pasig mayor, whom they say was only serving his constituents, netizens are also asking why the government is picking on Vico when there are more pressing problems at hand, such as alleviating hunger.
There are better things to do . Mayor is doing a great job. NBI should not break the momentum. Am so mad ???? #PROTECTVICO

If you're going to summon Mayor Vico for being good on his job then why not summon Koko Pimentel for being stupid and endangering the lives of the people#ProtectVico
The Bayanihan To Heal as One Law (what a bad name) only took effect on March 25, 2020.

While the country's prominent lawyers didn't join the hashtag, they had very interesting things to say about Vico's alleged violations:

"For LGU officials for disobeying national government policies or directives in imposing qurantines under the Bayanihan to Heal As One Act," said NBI Deputy Director and spokesman Ferdinand Lavin when asked what Vico's violation was.
What exactly prompted the NBI's invitation, Lavin said he was not privy to the investigation details. — LA, GMA News
