Hospital staff cheer for patient who recovered from COVID-19
A patient received a cheerful send-off from the staff of Sta. Ana Hospital in Manila after he recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
In a video posted on Mayor Isko Moreno's Facebook page, medical staff stood at the hallway and clapped as the patient passed by on a wheelchair.
They also wished him, "Good health. God bless you."
In high spirits, the patient took a selfie with his phone and even flashed the peace sign and the thumbs-up.
The patient was discharged after finally testing negative for the virus.
Moreno said his recovery is a message of hope amid the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the country.
Earlier, a 59-year-old woman from Binan, Laguna also recovered from the virus and received a warm applause from the hospital staff.
