This security guard's DIY face shield shows how resourceful he is and people are praising him for it

A security guard outside a grocery store in Dagupan City, Pangasinan is receiving a lot of praise online for his hard work and resourcefulness.

YouScooper Rustan Siapno was in line outside the grocery on Sunday when he saw that the guard was watching over shoppers with only an improvised face shield to protect himself from coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

The watchman seems to have fashioned his own personal protective equipment (PPE) out of some plastic cover and a piece of folder fastened to his headgear.

Photos also show the guard has a ready umbrella to shield customers shopping for supplies.

Siapno saluted the watchman, and expressed his gratefulness for security guards and all frontliners for maintaining public safety amid the enhanced community quarantine currently being implemented in Luzon.
