Frontliner queens wear gowns as they give away relief goods in Quezon

A group of LGBT queens donned gowns and crowns as they volunteered to distribute relief goods in Gumaca, Quezon.

According to the We Love Gumaca Facebook page, the volunteers called themselves the "bakliners," and they gave away free vegetables in the neighborhood to help residents get through the enhanced community quarantine being implemented in Luzon.

As seen in the photos, the volunteers went from house to house, wearing floor-length gowns, complete with crowns on their heads.

They even practiced social distancing as they strutted down dirt roads and train tracks under the hot sun just to deliver relief goods.

Talk about "beauty with a purpose!"

Quezon, along with the rest of Luzon, is currently under enhanced community quarantine as a measure to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

The Department of Health has recorded 8,212 cases in the Philippines as of Wednesday. The death toll is at 558 while recoveries are at 1,023.
