YouTuber PewDiePie 'humbled' after watching Rose on '90 Day Fiance'
Even PewDiePie got into the program and watched the viral story of Rose and Big Ed on "90 Day Fiance."
The YouTuber, who has 104 million subscribers on the platform, gave an amusing commentary as he watched clips of the episode.
In the reality show, Big Ed flies to the Philippines from the US to pursue a relationship with a Filipina named Rosemari Vega who resides in Caloocan City.
Even before the two met, PewDiePie already had a less than favorable view of Big Ed after watching him put mayonnaise on his hair, and finding out that he lied to Rose about his height and about wanting kids.
"This is a recipe for disaster. The fact that he's lying...," PewDiePie commented.
When Rose first appears, he says, "She seems nice...I always imagined this is some gold-digger or something like that, or they're usually very intolerable, to say the least, but she seems okay."
He was also in disbelief about Ed making a fuss about Rose letting a vendor keep a P10 change.
Ed had also been displeased about Rose helping him handle his money while they were shopping, much to PewDiePie's confusion.
"It seems like she's really just trying to help him, he doesn't know the currency, obviously," he said.
And when the YouTube star got to the part where Rose's living conditions were revealed, he couldn't help his shock.
"This is pretty humbling to see," he said when Rose's father revealed he slept in their pigsty. "It's all starting to make sense, a lot of the pieces are falling together."
PewDiePie wasn't able to finish the whole thing in his video, but said he'll do a follow-up.
But from what he's seen, he figured the relationship wouldn't work out.
"I have a bad feeling about this relationship guys...I don't know if it's going to work out," he said.
Well, he wasn't wrong. After some dramatic reveals and fights, Rose and Big Ed eventually separated.
Rose bounced back from all that drama pretty quickly, even gaining a lot of fans online as clips of their story went viral.
Just recently, she started her own YouTube channel and garnered more than 54,000 subscribers, with over 394,000 views for her first vlog entry.
