‘Strawberry Moon’ is up tonight

Sky gazers are in for a treat as the phenomenon called “Strawberry Moon” becomes visible tonight.

These photos of the full Strawberry Moon were taken by YouScooper Justin in Pakil, Laguna earlier today.

According to Mirror Online, a full Strawberry Moon occurs when the Moon is located on the opposite side of the Earth as the Sun, meaning its face is fully illuminated.

The term was coined by early Native Americans as the event coincided with the harvesting of fruits. – RC, GMA News
