'Bird-shaped' rainbow cloud stuns netizens in Balamban, Cebu

Netizens were stunned by the beauty of a rainbow cloud seen from Cebu on Sunday.

Ignazio Lizarraga Borromeo was able to take a photo of the colorful "bird-shaped" spectacle from the Transcentral Highway in Balamban.

A cloud can appear rainbow-colored due to "cloud iridescence," which occurs when small water droplets or small ice crystals scatter the sun's light.

According to the Ignazio, the iridescent cloud appeared in the sky after the rain, but vanished after five minutes.
