Teacher spends late nights preparing modules, draws praise from netizens

A teacher who persevered through late nights in order to prepare modules for her students amid the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic melted the heart of netizens and drew praise on social media.

According to Oscar Oida’s report on “24 Oras,” a photo of teacher Aurora Arellano working late into the night has gone viral.

‘Yung pagod, puyat,” said her daughter Christine, who posted the photo.

In her post, Christine said her mother did not even know how to turn on the computer before the country transitioned into blended learning.

Arellano said that she could only make modules late into the night.

Christine said she posted her mother’s photos in answer to those spreading the hashtag #Punitin_ang_module_challenge.

Though she did not expect her post to become viral, Christine expressed the hope that it helps others realize the importance of education as well as the dedication of teachers.

Sobrang saya,” Arellano said. — Joahna Lei Casilao/BM, GMA News
