9-year-old girl goes viral after celebrating first two subscribers on YouTube
A 9-year-old girl from Bacolod City has gone viral after celebrating her first two subscribers on YouTube.
According to Oscar Oida's report on "24 Oras," Mary Grace Escober prepared a small bread and lit a matchstick like a candle to mark her humble achievement.
It attracted the attention of netizens after she posted a photo on her Facebook account on Tuesday.
"Hindi namin talaga akalain na mag-va-viral 'yung post niya sa kanyang Facebook," said Cecilia Constantino, Mary Grace' mother.
The aspiring vlogger said she simply wanted to thank her first two subscribers—one of whom is actually her cousin—for their support.
In less than 24 hours, she has reached over 100,000 subscribers after many people have been touched by her ability to appreciate small joys.
"Sobrang saya-saya ko po dahil ang dami nag-su-support sa akin at saka nagpapasaya sa akin," she said.
Asked what she is preparing to celebrate her thousands of subscribers, Mary Grace quipped she doesn't have anything as her father has not yet received his salary.
But more importantly, she has learned a valuable lesson from her experience.
"Walang imposible po basta mangangarap lang po," she said. —MGP, GMA News
