Pinoys take on the 'air freshener challenge' and it's hilarious

If you've been active on social media lately, you're probably wondering why people keep sticking weird stuff to their air conditioners and electric fans.

This so-called "air-freshener challenge" all started from the Facebook group Home Buddies where a netizen shared how putting a bar of soap on the grills of an AC can make a room smell amazing.

Sure enough, Pinoy netizens came up with their own take on the budget-friendly tip and shared pictures of their alternative "air fresheners" on the internet.

As shown in a report on "Unang Hirit," Mela Ayie Concepcion filled her room with the calming smell of ointment.

Another netizen Marianne Angela Quiogue said she did not have any Irish Spring soap, so she just tied lumpia (spring roll) to her aircon instead.
