Every June 12, Pinoys reimagine history with modern memes, posting them with the hashtag #rp612fic. Speculative fiction writer Paolo Chikiamco birthed it in 2009, to celebrate the Philippines' Independence Day.
And clearly, more than serving as a reminder of Philippine history, this is one of the days where Pinoy humor shines the brightest.
