TWICE members perform ‘What is Love?’ wedding dance version; fans notice resemblance to viral Pinoy couple
TWICE has performed a wedding dance version of their song “What is Love?”
In the video uploaded on the K-Pop group’s Twitter account Thursday, members Chaeyoung and Jihyo wore groom and bride outfits and danced cutely to their 2018 song.
The post had the hashtags #WhatIsLoveRecharting and #ForONCE, meaning the video was made for the group’s fans called ONCE.
As of writing, the video has reached over 250,000 views and 62,800 likes.
Does it look familiar? In the replies and quote tweets, fans noticed that the performance resembled the viral video of the Filipino couple who used the song for their wedding first dance.
“This means that they watched the [Filipino] couple who danced on their wedding day. My heart’s beating fast,” one fan said.
“I think they copied the couple that danced ‘What is Love?’ on their wedding,” said another. “They even copied the flashing lights.”
TWICE also uploaded several versions of the dance, such as “The Princess Diaries 2021,” “Pulp Fiction 2021,” and “La Boum 2021.”
On Wednesday, the girl group announced that they would be giving a surprise to their fans the next day.
