Canadian TikToker Diana Gabra wows netizens with Tagalog skills

A TikToker from Canada has been wowing netizens with her impressive Tagalog-speaking skills.

Diana Gabra, better known on social media as DreamWithDiana, proudly introduces herself on the internet as “Filipino at heart” and often starts her videos with the phrase “[Ma]gandang umaga, mga pogi at ganda!”

Although she grew up in Canada and lives there, Diana said the Philippines is her "favorite country," and that she had a lot of Pinoy friends.

Diana was recently featured in an episode of GMA-7’s “Mars Pa More."

The TikToker, who recently visited Turkey for a vacation, talked about the sights to see in fluent Filipino.

“Ang ganda ng dagat dito, tapos parang pakiramdam ko nasa Pinas ako kasi sobrang maganda. Crystal clear, ganon!” she said.

When the hosts asked Diana asked why she loved to speak Tagalog so much, she said Filipino people were some of the kindest people she has ever met, and that they made her feel like "family."

“Kasi sa Pinas, mga tao sobrang sobrang mabait. Ito na 'yung [thing I like the most about the Philippines]," she explained.

"Sobrang maganda, syempre, mga dagat, beaches island pero mga tao ang bait naman! so welcoming tapos kapag nagtagalog ako…  parang pakiramdam ko mas connected ako diyan. Parang may family ako diyan."

Diana, who already visited the Philippines once, said she would love to come back.

"Isang buwan lang [ako diyan] pero ngayon, meron akong pamilya, meron akong mga kaibigan, tropa pag bumalik ako diyan," she added.
