Kris Aquino explains why she posted about Typhoon Odette relief operations

Kris Aquino took to Instagram to explain why she posted about her relief operations to the victims of Typhoon Odette.

"Alam ko na babanatan ako ng mga ilan dahil sa posts ko BUT did you think maawat niyo ko? Bakit niyo ko tuturuan to quietly help?" She wrote.

According to Kris, the money she gave away came was her own. "Hindi ko ninakaw ‘yung perang ginamit, hindi pera ng gubyerno, galing sa sarili kong bulsa," she said.

Besides, she knew posting about extending help to the typhoon victims will also encourage others to do the same.

In seemingly full fighting form, Kris said, "kahit PASKO, sorry I’m not a bit sorry, PASENSYAHAN tayo."

"Sa mga haters & bashers, obvious ba? I’m not my brother, who was too humble & proper for his own good, who chose to suffer in silence kaya namihasa na lang kayo," she said.

There were no siblings who will stop her now and tell her "ignore them, anyway we know & God see the TRUTH,"Kris continued.

She is speaking up and not staying quite because times have changed.

"Iba na ang panahon, BECAUSE haters, bashers, and trolls YOU are now getting the AQUINO you super deserve dahil 6 years old pa lang, PALABAN na ‘ko," she wrote.

"And to my loyal friends, followers, & supporters, basta hindi feeling perfect na mapanghusga, you’ll receive what you deserve, ‘yung for life kong pangako na sa oras na pangangailangan gagawan ko ng paraan na ako’y inyong maasahan & lovelovelove tayo habang buhay," she added.

In the caption of her post, Kris thanked her partner, former Department of the Interior and Local Government Secretary Mel Sarmiento for being her source of strength.

"Thank you babe for being my strength, and because makulit talaga ako sa facts, for making sure na tama lahat ng dates & figures na nilabas natin," she wrote.

Kris said the simple but truthful explanation for her post is to make sure everyone knew she could walk her talk.

"Sinigurado ko lang na alam nyo hindi lang ako hanggang salita. Gusto kong patuloy kayong magtiwala na maaasahan nyo pa rin ako. Wrong for my body, but correct for my heart & soul.

And for her art cards? "Sumagot ako through researched art cards, kasi united kami ni Mel, you all should at least know what Noy was able to do for the Philippines when 15,208,678 (42.08% of the 2010 voting population) gave him the biggest honor and responsibility any Filipino citizen could ever have- yung pagkakataon na manilbihan at mamuno sa ating lahat," she added.

"Let’s have a peaceful and healthy Christmas leading up to when we welcome 2022," she ended her note.
