Philippines ranks 3rd among countries with most K-pop fans in 2021, Twitter says

Filipinos continue to be some of the most passionate K-pop fans on Twitter.

According to Twitter data released this week, the Philippines emerged as the third country with the most number of K-pop fans in 2021.

No. 1 on the list was Indonesia, followed by Japan.

Indonesia also topped the list for the most number of K-pop-related tweets for the second consecutive year.

But what have K-pop fans been tweeting about?

Well, the international pop sensation BTS was named the “most tweeted about K-Pop artist” both in the Philippines and all over the world.

The top 10 most tweeted about K-pop artists in the Philippines in 2021 were:

3. Blackpink
4. NCT
5. Seventeen
6. Treasure
7. Twice
8. EXO
9. Tomorrow X Together (TXT)
10. Stray Kids

This isn’t the first time Philippine K-pop fans were recognized for showing an incredible amount of love for their idols on Twitter.

In a report published in June 2021, the Philippines ranked second among countries with the highest number of K-pop-related tweets. – RC, GMA News
