Remember 'BBC dad'? It's been 5 years since his children walked in on his TV interview and turned it viral
Ahh, has it been five years already?
On Twitter Thursday, Professor Robert E. Kelly, better known as BBC Dad, celebrated the fifth anniversary of his children walking in on his live TV interview, which then made it — and him and his family — into a viral sensation talked about for days on end.
"Today is the 5th anniversary of the 'BBC Dad' event and probably the last time I will mark this date here on Twitter," Kelly opened his Twitter thread.
"My wife and I remain deeply grateful for all the kindness about our kids over the years. Thank you," he added.
Kelly also gave updates on his cute kiddos Marion, who is now — gasp — nine years old and James, who is nearly 6, as well as some recent family photos.
of it, I hope you've found it a good follow beyond the occasional picture of my kids. Thank you.

If you're a 'BBC Dad Truther' who still thinks we staged the whole thing to get famous, we did not. ??????
Here is what the kids look like now. Marion is 9; James is almost 6.

Kelly and his family quickly turned popular after Marion, then five, happily walked in on her dad, who was being interviewed by the BBC.
The host kept cool and calm, as he mentioned it on national TV but then Marion's brother burst into the scene, in a walker at that, as the older child leaned into the bed and caused the carefully laid out books to clatter on the floor.
As though that wasn't enough, Kelly's wife quickly came oncam, chasing her children and trying her best to stay out of it.
"Pardon me," the Political Science professor could only say to the program's host as he smiled apologetically.
He waited for his family to carefully, erm, evacuate the scene, before proceeding with his thoughts on the relations between North and South Korea.
