Smoke comes off man’s body after exercise

Did smoke just come off this man’s body after his workout?

As reported on #KuyaKimAnoNa on “24 Oras” Thursday, Fernando Cosme Jr., a security guard from Bukidnon, jogs daily at 6 a.m. for his health. One morning, however, he noticed smoke coming off his body.

“Lumalakas po iyong usok. Nagulat ako bakit may umuusok sa paligid ko. Tumingin ako sa paligid ko kung may naninigarilyo po ba or may nagsisiga ng apoy. Wala naman,” he said.

As it turned out, what Cosme experienced was steam or the gas form of his sweat.

“’Pag nag-eexercise, umiinit iyong katawan natin,” said Cristine Cabrera, physics instructor at Adamson University.

“Para ma-regulate iyong katawan natin, nagre-release ng pampalamig iyong katawan natin,” she added.

“Pwede siya maging liquid form, which is iyong pawis nga, or pwede rin siya iyong gas form, which is iyong steam. Nakikita natin iyong usok dahil do’n sa malamig na panahon noong oras na tumatakbo siya.”

Cabrera added there was nothing to worry about as it’s normal for the body to feel hot when exercising.
