Dog rescuer urges public to adopt regardless of breed: ‘Turuan niyo ang puso niyo magmahal ng aspin’

A dog rescuer is encouraging the public to adopt and have the same concern for animals, whether these belong to a certain breed or not.

According to Katrina Son’s “24 Oras” report Saturday, Raevin Bonifacio cried in a recent social media post due to frustration over the public’s unwillingness to adopt aspin.

“Sobrang nahu-hurt lang ako na walang masyadong may gusto sa aspin,” he said.

“Nahihirapan kaming ipa-adopt iyong mga aspin, alam niyo iyon. ’Pag may lahi nag-aagawan sila,” he added.

“Hindi nila alam iyong mga aspin iyong nagtataya ng buhay para masagip nila iyong amo nila, mabantayan iyong bahay.”

Raevin has rescued 11 dogs, including Warrior, a dog that was hit by a car and abandoned by its owner; Hope and Happy, which he saved from death row at a dog pound in Laguna; and Brave, a husky that used to be unable to walk and was discarded by its owner.

After a few months under the care of Raevin, the dogs now look better and are healthy and happy.
