Australian woman exposes cheating boyfriend with a full-page newspaper ad

An Australia-based weekly newspaper, Mackay and Whitsunday Life, drew international attention after a woman named "Jenny" purchased an entire page from the paper to expose her unfaithful ex-boyfriend named "Steve."

Through a full-page ad, Jenny wrote Steve a note, published in all-caps, perhaps to communicate her rage.

"Dear Steve, I hope you're happy with her. Now the whole town will know what a filthy cheater you are."

The enraged ex-girlfriend ended her "advertisement" with a funny post-script: "I bought this ad using your credit card."

Mackay and Whitsunday Life has gone viral on social media since the ad's release.

Addressing the messages the paper has received in the past few days, Mackay and Whitsunday Life released an official Facebook statement on Thursday saying "we do NOT know who Steve is, but apparently, he's been very very bad."

"We won't be revealing any details about Jenny. We have not charged the credit card in question," it continued.

The statement has generated nearly 7K reactions and more than 3.5K comments.

According to the Daily Mail, the ad has gained so much attention that Adelaide's Highway Hotel and Pub made a joke on its roadside. "Dear Jenny, I'm Sorry. From all the Steves," it read.
