Dancer loses false teeth, keeps groove in Dinagat contest

A dancer drew admiration online after he lost his dentures in mid-performance but kept on moving to the groove during a dance contest in Dinagat Islands.

According to Joseph Morong's report on "State of the Nation," Bryan Jay Ishioka simply timed his movements to find his dentures and picked them up.

Bryan and choreographer Nathan Agapito recalled the unforgettable moment.

“Sabi ko pa sa kaniya, baka pagdating ng final malaglag ng tuluyan 'yan, ayun nga,” Nathan said.

Bryan was worried that his co-dancers might step on his dentures, so he picked them up in the middle of the performance.

“First time po nangyari. Nakakahiya kasi sir eh, kung sa dulo ko pa pulutin, na tapos na 'yung sayaw, madami ang nakakita eh. Kaya gumawa ako ng paraan," Bryan said.

While the team failed to win the competition, Bryan and Nathan were happy by bringing joy and entertainment through their performance.
