Bride walks down flooded aisle in Bulacan, just like in 'Crazy Rich Asians'
Remember the wedding scene from the film "Crazy Rich Asians," where the bride walks down the aisle flooded with water?
This is exactly what happened on a wedding at the Barasoain Church in Malolos, Bulacan amid the floods caused by Typhoon Egay.
As seen in Mav Gonzales's report on "24 Oras," Monday, the wedding ceremony between Mae and Paulo Padilla pushed through despite the calamity that hit their province.
Paulo said even their homes and the roads heading to the church were already submerged in floods.
Tapos mga dadaanan, bewang," he said.
The couple admitted that they had been worried several days before their wedding due to the heavy rains.
When their special day arrived, however, nothing could stop them from pledging themselves to each other.
"Ilang baha tinawid naming dalawa," Mae said.
Mae's wedding gown and Paulo's suit got wet, but what's more surprising was even their guests gamely waded through the flooded church to witness their union.
Congratulations, Mae and Paulo!
