Sassa Gurl calls on fellow content creators to be responsible with their platforms

Sassa Gurl took to TikTok to remind her fellow Filipino content creators to be extra mindful of what they post and promote online for their viewers' sake.

On Wednesday, the content creator posted a video addressing her fellow influencers.

According to Sassa, being an influencer is such a powerful position, especially in the age of social media.

"Napakamakapangyarihan niyan kaya responsable po natin dapat gagamitin ang ating platform," she said.

Sassa also said if the content creators have the time to set up good lighting and other props on their content, they should also have the time to research.

"Dapat may time din po tayo na mag-research sa mga bagay-bagay na ating pino-promote," she ended.

As of writing, Sassa's video has over 2.1 million views and 272,000 reactions.

While Sassa did not specify why she gave these reminders, it can be recalled that some influencers were allegedly involved in a smear campaign against Maggie Wilson and her company, Acasa Manila.

Several TikTok content creators have since come forward and issued an apology over the incident. They also admitted to being paid to create the videos.
