Filipino foam brand gets Guinness World Record for largest human mattress dominoes

Homegrown foam and mattress brand, Uratex, has just achieved the Guinness World Records' (GWR) largest human mattress dominoes award!

The event took place on October 22 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City and was attended by GWR judges and stewards.

During this impressive feat, participants successfully toppled mattresses in a continuous domino effect for 14 minutes and 25 seconds.

Uratex not only claimed the award but also surpassed the previous record held by Brazil.

“The record to beat for this attempt was 2,019. I can now confirm that team Uratex has achieved 2,355. Congratulations! You beat the World Records title,” Guinness World Records Senior Records Manager/Official Adjudicator Mai McMillan said.

Naty Cheng, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President of Uratex Philippines, received the certificate on behalf of the company.

Uratex said they donated all of the 2,355 mattresses used to 55 charitable institutions, including shelters or homes for the elderly, women, children, and adults with special needs, and community hospitals.

The brand also gave a deeper meaning to their record number, saying 2 and 3 were derived from the year 2023, while 55 represents Uratex’s 55th anniversary.
