Michelle Dee on Anne Jakrajutatip's 'move on' comment: 'It could've been better'
Michelle Dee reacted to the video of Miss Universe owner Anne Jakrajutatip saying the words "Move on Philippines" and "Move on Thailand" after the Miss Universe 2023 pageant.
Anne seemed to be addressing pageant fans from both countries, as Thailand's Anntonia Porsild finished first runner-up in the competition, while Michelle ended her journey in the Top 10.
Nicaragua's Sheynnis Palacios won the crown.
On Monday's episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," the Sparkle beauty queen shared her thoughts on the video, which has gone viral.
"Even though she might not have had bad intentions, the way it was executed, delivered, it could've been better," Michelle said.
"I frankly think there's always a better way to be more respectful to the fans," she added. "But of course, do I believe that it was done with malicious intent? I try to see the best in everybody."
In the same episode, Michelle also took a crack at answering the final question in Miss Universe 2023.
She answered the question in less than 45 seconds, and the woman she chose was none other than the inspiration for her final gown, Apo Whang-Od.
Michelle finished her Miss Universe 2023 journey in the Top 10. She won four special awards, including the Spirit of Carnival Award, the Miss Universe's fan vote, Voice for Change video competition, and Best in National Costume.
