Netizens 'help' commuter translate 'pakiabot po ng bayad'

Paying the fare for a jeepney ride became an amusing challenge for a passenger, who had difficulty in translating 'pakiabot po ng bayad', to a foreigner seated near the driver, according to the "Pusuan Na 'Yan" report on "State of the Nation."

The video was posted by @bogart8269 on TikTok and netizens were more than willing to - sort of - help the said passenger.

To the request, "Tulongan nyo ko ano dapat sabihin ko sa kanya (Help me, what should I tell her), netizens provided amusing answers.

Such as, "Lagyan mo nag American accent, beyad pow for 1" while another used emojis suggesting just using one's snout.

"Please give this to whom it may concern," said another while one more suggested "Can you see this? Give this to the man who can't be moved."

"Baba ka na lang te tas sakay ng ibang jeep (You can just take another jeep)," one netizen suggested.

The passenger ended up making eye contact with the foreigner and used sign language. The foreigner, meanwhile, just laughed. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
