Howie Severino to launch new book 'People I Knew' at MIBF 2026

Veteran journalist Howie Severino is set to launch his new book, “People I Knew: And Some I Didn’t But Wrote About Them Anyway,” at the 2026 Manila International Book Fair (MIBF).

Published by the UST Publishing House, the book brings together stories, encounters, and portraits of people Severino has encountered throughout his career as a journalist.

The book launch will be held on Friday, September 11, from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Mini Stage, SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

A meet-and-greet and book signing will follow from 5:15 to 7 p.m.

Aside from being an award-winning broadcast journalist, Howie Severino is also an author who published the book “Patrimony: 6 case studies on local politics and the environment in the Philippines” in 1996.

He currently hosts “The Howie Severino Podcast.”
