Hollywood shares sneak peek of Lea Salonga's Walk of Fame star

Lea Salonga is set to receive her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this week, with Hollywood giving fans a sneak peek ahead of the historic ceremony.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame organization shared a glimpse of Lea’s star on social media, inviting fans to witness the unveiling on Friday at 11:30 a.m. Pacific Standard Time (Saturday, 2:30 a.m., in the Philippines).

The ceremony will take place at 6225 Hollywood Boulevard, in front of the historic Hollywood Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles, California.

Fans who wish to attend the event are instructed to line up across the street from the ceremony venue, next to Dunkin’ Donuts on the east side of Argyle Avenue.

Fellow Filipino celebrities, including Vina Morales, Neri Naig, and Veejay Floresca, took to the comment section to express their support and pride for the theater icon.

Lea, known for her acclaimed performances on Broadway and as the singing voice of Disney’s Princess Jasmine and Mulan, will be the 2,855th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the first-ever Filipino to receive one. Lea will receive her star under the Live Performance category.

As a Disney legend, Lea was part of the 20th anniversary concert of Hong Kong Disneyland, where she performed iconic songs from the Disney franchise.

In 2025, she returned to the Philippine theater stage to play The Witch in the local production of "Into the Woods."

She also played Madame Thénardier in "Les Misérables: The World Tour Spectacular" this January.
